What in Walt Disney World… are Zebra Domes?

To say the least… Zebra Domes are one of those ‘must eat’ foods in Walt Disney World.  Similar to the Dole Whip & Beignets, many people consider this delicious morsel at the top of any foodie’s Disney World bucket list..  The ingredients on the box say “Flour, Sugar, Eggs, Butter; Alcohol. May contain nuts”. But this hardly begins to explain what biting into one is like.

Cream Liquor mousse is enrobed in panna cotta-esque white chocolate and drizzled with chocolate and chocolate shavings. The whole thing sits atop a thin cake base.

Where can you try a Zebra Dome?  These little gooey morsels can only be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort.  If you are in the mood for an ‘all you can eat’ feast of these decadent desserts, make a reservation to dine at Boma and indulge in a wonderful buffet to delight your taste buds and end the meal with unlimited Zebra Domes.  If you just want to grab a few on the fly, you can pick up a 4 pack at The Mara for $4.95.  Both of these African inspired restaurants can be found in the Jambo House building of Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The next time you are in the mood for a mouthwatering sweet treat that is unique to Walt Disney World, be sure to visit Animal Kingdom Lodge and try the Zebra Domes.
